Green Oak Solutions was founded in 2003 on the principle that Business Continuity Planning
should be a straightforward, operations-based process, to be viewed over a wide range of
exposures at the Enterprise Level. Our primary focus is to provide services to the
Manufacturing sector.
Our view is that the process has to involve all stakeholders in the Corporation from the
development of the process through its implementation and completion. Many of our competitors
focus on a single issue such as Information Technology recovery and we believe a silo based
approach to planning is ineffective.
Green Oak Solutions approach is focused on results. Our experience allows us to quickly grasp
the key issues of risk mitigation or Business Continuity Planning that drives a particular
business concern with their exposures.
While we maintain and utilize our proprietary Business Continuity Planning software to develop
plans or enable planning for our clients, we do not sell software or represent any type of
service provider. This allows us to approach our clients with a pure process that is not
influenced by a desire too "up sell" things like expensive specialized software.
Green Oak Solutions maintains strategic partnership relationships with several compatible firms
who can form a scalable network. This allows us to serve any size companies Business
Continuity Planning or Property Risk Control Consulting needs both domestically and internationally.
Green Oak Solutions is owned and led by Craig A. Holmes, PE. Craig has over 25 years experience
in the Risk Management, Business Continuity Planning and Property Risk Control areas. Craig is a
registered Professional Engineer and member of the National Society of Professional Engineers,
the International Association of Emergency Managers, the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, and
the National Fire Protection Association.
Recently Craig was named to the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers task force for
evaluation of Critical Homeland Security Infrastructure for the State of Michigan. He has been
published on several occasions. Of note, was contribution of a chapter for The Executives Desk
Book on Corporate Risks and Response for Homeland Security published by the National Legal Center
for the Public Interest. This book was published after the September 11th Terrorist Attacks, and
he recieved written commendation from President Bush for this effort.
Over his 25 year career Craig has worked with a wide range of companies over a varied mix of operations
and business profiles ranging from the Middle Market to the Fortune 100 in size.
